National Cybersecurity Awareness Month is observed in the United States every October to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and promote best practices for staying safe online. The month-long event is a collaborative effort between the government, industry, and individuals to ensure that every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA) are partnering to create resources and messaging for organizations to use when they talk with their employees, customers, and memberships about staying safe online.
This year, CISA is launching a new awareness program that will encourage four simple steps every American can take to stay safe online. The new theme for the campaign will be announced in time for Cybersecurity Awareness Month
