To generate and send auto email notifications at ship time in UX the following items must be configured.
1. Enable the setting “Auto Email Shipper Use”.
2. Enable the setting “Auto Email Shipper Use v2”.
3. Add and configure the “Customer Shipper Auto Email” notification within the “Email Notification Manager” screen. Be sure to enter a valid email address in the “From Address” field. It’s also recommended that you populate the “Subject Text” and “Email Message” fields.
4. (To email truck shipping level documents) Add and configure the “Customer Truck Auto Email” notification within the “Email Notification Manager” screen. Be sure to enter a valid email address in the “From Address” field. It’s also recommended that you populate the “Subject Text” and “Email Message” fields.
5. Add a valid email address in the “Shipper Email Recipients” field on the customer order line(s) you’d like to generate an email for. If no valid email address is entered on the customer order line, no email will be sent at ship time.
6. Within the “Print Document Setup Manager” screen, add a context of “Customer Shipping Shipper Auto Email” for all shipper level shipping documents you’d like to email.
7. Within the “Print Document Setup Manager” screen, add a context of “Customer Shipping Truck Auto Email” for all truck level shipping documents you’d like to email.
Once the above items are added / configured, an auto email notification will be generated and sent at ship time. Any shipping documents that have the appropriate context configured will be included in the notification as attachments.
