Add an electronic signature to Plex Purchase Orders

To add a signature in Plex and ensure seamless functionality, follow these steps:

Step 1: Configure the Setting

  1. Enable the setting PO Internal Contact Signature.
  2. Optionally, you can utilize the Issued By List setting, although it is not mandatory.

Step 2: Prepare the Signature File

  1. Create your electronic signature.
  2. Save the signature in a .jpeg format on your device.

Step 3: Upload the Signature in Plex

  1. The authorized purchasing person must log in to Plex using their own credentials.
  2. Hover your mouse over your Plex username located at the top-left corner of the screen.
  3. Select Edit Personal Info.
  4. Navigate to Signature and click Upload.
  5. Browse your files to locate and select the saved .jpeg signature file.
  6. Click OK to save and finalize the upload.

By following these steps, your signature will be successfully uploaded and linked to your Plex account. If you encounter issues during the process, ensure the file is in the correct format and double-check the settings

You may also upload a scanned signature to be used on certain reports throughout the system. For best results on your scanned signature, trim any extra blank space around the actual signature before uploading the image. Try to make the signature itself take up as much space in the image as possible. A resolution of 200 x 300 dpi is recommended for a crisp signature when printed.  An image about 500 pixels wide works well.
