Viewing and Managing the Production Statuses Screen in the Plex ERP system

The Production Statuses screen serves as an essential tool for effectively monitoring and managing production metrics at the workcenter level. It enables users to not only view but also modify the status of one or multiple workcenters, offering a detailed overview of production activities.

 This screen functions in two distinct modes: View Mode and Change Mode.

Overview of the Production Statuses Screen

Modes of Operation

1. View Mode

• Default Display: View Mode is the standard setting when accessing the Production Statuses screen.
• Functionality: In this mode, users can:
  • Change the status of a single workcenter (limited functionality).
  • View the workcenter log for detailed insights.
  • Access the workcenter's dispatch list.
  • Review the detailed production history of the workcenter.

2. Change Mode

• Enhanced Functionality: Change Mode includes all features of View Mode, with additional capabilities:
  • Perform mass changes to the status of multiple workcenters.
  • Log operators out of a workcenter.

Managing Workcenter Status

Changing the Workcenter Status

To change the status of one or more workcenters, follow these steps:

1. Access the Production Statuses screen.
2. Adjust the search filters as needed and click Search.
3. On the Action Bar, click Change Mode.
4. Select the checkbox next to each workcenter that requires a status change.
5. Click Change Status on the Action Bar.
6. In the Change Status To field, specify the new status.
7. If necessary, provide a reason for the status change.
8. Click OK to apply the changes.

Logging Out Operators

To log out operators from a workcenter, use the following steps:

1. Access the Production Statuses screen.
2. Adjust the search filters and click Search.
3. On the Action Bar, click Change Mode.
4. Select the checkbox next to each operator you wish to log out.
   • The corresponding workcenter checkbox will be automatically selected.
5. Click Change Status on the Action Bar.
6. In the Change Status To field, specify the new status.
7. If necessary, provide a reason for the status change.
8. Click OK to log the operator off the workcenter and change the workcenter status.

Shutting Down the Plant

To change the status of all workcenters to "Off," follow these steps:

1. Access the Production Statuses screen.
2. On the Action Bar, click Shutdown Plant.
3. You will be prompted to confirm the action.
4. Click Yes to proceed.

Important Note

The "Off" workcenter status is determined by the setup of the workcenter status with the lowest sort order. Ensure that this is configured correctly to reflect the desired operational state.
